The Customer Experience (CX) Workstream is looking for a Delivery Manager with significant experience establishing and managing business critical projects. Working with a dedicated team to deliver IR's future customer self-service solutions we're looking for someone with strong planning and project management experience to lead a mix of teams designing, developing and testing our new services.


The CX workstream will move the organisation closer to our desired future state, putting the customer at the centre of everything we do, whilst also ensuring compliance and IR outcomes, as defined in our Customer Experience Blueprint where we strive to:

  • Provide greater access, availability and pervasiveness of self-management;
  • Tailor and personalise services and channels (with a particular emphasis on digital);
  • Embed customer centric emphasis in design and delivery; and
  • Extend the digital border and use of business partners in the tax ecosystem.


The Customer Experience Workstream will support channel shift to digital channels and reduce IR's cost to serve.  A key element of the CX Workstream is the design and development of digital capabilities that help our customers self-manage their obligations and entitlements. Across multiple channels we are enabling new technology solutions to deliver and enhance customers' digital experience and improve IR's online service offerings.


To be successful in this role, you will have the following key skills and experience:

  • a strong understanding and experience defining and managing delivery plans and milestones
  • experience working as a liaison among stakeholders and external service providers
  • a flexible and organised approach to all tasks and work
  • experience in delivering technology changes (or similar business-led projects with a technical aspect)
  • experience of leading agile delivery teams/initiatives and an understanding of critical success factors in agile delivery
  • experience with project plan, budget, resources, risks and interdependencies of the project
  • a strong understanding and practical experience in agile principles and a range of different project methodologies
  • experience with implementation of customer portals, API's or similar digital systems
