Inland Revenue is in the midst of one of the largest transformation programmes in New Zealand's history. We currently have a challenging and progressive fixed term role available for an intermediate Litigation Solicitor. This is an ideal time to join the organisation, and be part of our inclusive and collaborative team as they cover a wide arrange of quality litigation work including Civil, Criminal & Family (Child Support) proceedings. 

 

You will thrive with the opportunity to utilise both your prosecution and/or debt recovery background as you prepare court documents and appear in court, provide advice to your internal stakeholders and build solid relationships with our internal customers. 

 

With your efficient time and case management skills and the opportunity to work both autonomously and as part of a team, you'll fit right into our Litigatino Team. The role is based in our Takapuna office, but we could also consider basing you out of our Manukau office, if that is your preference. To be successful in this role, you will: 

  • Have 3-5 years PQE experience, a NZ practising certificate and good academics
  • Ideally, hold a Prosecutor Classificastion Level 3, although consideration will be given to Level 2 applications
  • Be confident to appear in court for both civil and criminal matters
  • Ambition to further build upon litigation knowledge and experience
  • A talent for building and maintaining good relationships 
  • Solid negotiation and analytical skills
  • Good level of expertise, approachability and a client centric work approach
  • Initiative, common sense, reliability, dedication and trustworthiness
