Our Policy and Strategy group is responsible for providing policy advice to the NZ Government on tax and social policy issues, and leading the development of Inland Revenue's strategy.  They have a vacancy for a self-motivated, customer and solutions focused Personal Assistant / Team Secretary to be the admin guru for their Policy Managers and teams.


We are seeking someone with a talent for developing effective working relationships with people at all levels of the organisation, and has a natural curiosity to understand our business.


As you will be dealing with sensitive documents and involved in senior management-level discussions and meetings, you will understand the need for confidentiality and display a high level of integrity.  Your advanced knowledge of the MS suite of products, your friendliness and your calm, can-do attitude is a must. 


Ideally you should possess practical experience in a similar public sector role and expect to perform a full range of PA and administrative support functions, including;


  • Diary management
  • Email management – employing good judgement in monitoring, responding, and prioritising emails
  • Organising meetings, agendas, and taking meeting minutes as required
  • International & domestic travel arrangements
  • Event & catering arrangements
  • Preparation & drafting of correspondence e.g. email, letters and documents
  • Ad hoc mini project work as required
