To be successful in this role you must be able to multi-task and manage your time effectively to ensure you meet the critical reporting deadlines across multiple initiatives, manage your own work and ensure you have captured the interdependencies across the other workstreams that link to your plans.

Inland Revenue plays a vital role in government with a mission to contribute to the economic and social wellbeing of New Zealand.  Our BT team is charged with ensuring that New Zealanders can pay and receive their taxes and entitlements in a simpler and faster way, as well as being a world-class revenue organisation.

This is a significant transformation programme which has attracted top notch experts who are motivated to deliver a modern tax system for the benefit of all.  For the Programme to succeed, we need the support of highly-skilled Project Coordinators who will work right alongside the workstream leads, their project managers and teams to deliver in this fast-paced environment.

On a day to day basis you will be involved in:

  • Developing, managing and maintaining the detailed workstream/project plan including milestones, deliverables and dependency management
  • Managing workstream/project-level risks, issues and raising change requests and escalations
  • Managing the priorities of the workstream lead/project managers and their teams
  • Maintaining project information, documentation and reporting (to deadlines)
  • Ensuring adherence to BT PMO requirements, and working closely with the BT PMO team
  • Preparing change requests and anticipate impacts across the workstreams and
  • Meeting co-ordination and minute taking.

You'll offer us your:

  • High level of competence (intermediate level or above) using MS Project – capable of developing, understanding and maintaining complex project plans
  • Experience using Visio and Excel to produce visual project plans
    • Sound knowledge of project methodologies (waterfall/agile), practices and tools that you have applied in a variety of complex and large programme environments
    • Strong communication and relationship management skills to work successfully with a wide variety of professionals
    • Ability to self-manage, prioritise and organise your work and naturally take ownership of critical tasks and deadlines.

You will be the kind of person who is a self-starter, resilient and thrives under pressure and change, be results focused and understand how to effectively influence people to achieve outcomes

In return, we're offering a supportive team environment where the experience you'll gain from this scale of transformation will set you apart from others in the project support profession.

Please apply online attaching your CV and a cover letter outlining the skills, knowledge and experience you can bring to the role explaining why you are the ideal candidate.
