The Legal Services unit sits within the newly formed Customer & Compliance Services group (CCS) and this particular leadership role will head up the Advice team in Takapuna.  With a team made up of Solicitors (at different levels) and Technical Specialists, you'll have existing tax technical knowledge but enjoy getting results and solving problems through your people rather than being ‘hands on' with your own technical caseload.

You'll support and lead your team to provide tax technical legal advice across a variety of segments.  The team work both proactively and reactively to help customers to get it right from the start so we are looking for a leader who can motivate and enable the team to deliver a consistently high level of customer service, be solution focussed and add value.

We need your strong people leadership experience and obvious motivation for helping your team members develop and grow.  You will be instrumental in building a trusted team and encouraging innovation.  You'll also build excellent relationships with our customer groups and wider networks, enjoying the challenge and satisfaction that comes from all interactions and impact you'll have on customer experience, compliance management and decision making.

To be considered for this opportunity you'll need to demonstrate your people leadership experience which includes a focus on coaching and developing others in a legal context.  You will also need to have a relevant legal background with some tax technical experience and hold or be able to hold a practising certificate.  In return, we will offer you on-going leadership development and support to realise your career goals in a supportive and progressive environment.
