The Transactional, Customer Services team in Upper Hutt have a unique opportunity for people to join as a Revenue Assessment Officer (RAO) on a fixed-term agreement up to  17 months. 


As a Revenue Assessment Office Level 1, you will undertake a wide range of activities, tasks and processes that ensure that revenue is collected and social policy programmes are administered effectively and efficiently.  These positions require delivering a high quality service; processing returns, applications and correspondence.


To be considered for this role you will have:

  • The capability to meet tight deadlines and service levels
  • A proven ability to multi-task with an eagerness to learn new complex tasks
  • Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
  • Solid keyboard/computer skills
  • The ability to be agile and flexible in a changing work environment with the ability to move between tasks, independently and as part of a team
  • Demonstrated prior experience of providing a high level of customer service
  • A professional outlook and take pride in the service that you offer
  • The ability to quickly learn IR computer systems, processes and procedures
  • A willingness to work autonomously demonstrating initiative, curiosity and a can-do attitude
  • Prior demonstrated experience in a similar role (highly desirable)
  • Good time management skills, be reliable and committed to the task at hand
  • Demonstrated experience with problem solving, sound decision making and having a continuous improvement mind-set.
