Intelligence Leader, Data & Analytics

Our new organisation is taking a big step forward, with new appointments to be made into the senior leadership team of our new Information and Intelligence Services group (IIS).

This newly created role is responsible for leading IR's analytics and data science strategies and practices to enable us to deliver better customer outcomes. Specifically the role is responsible for the strategic development of data science and analytics practices, tools and capabilities.  The role is also responsible for planning, prioritisation and capability deployment to support business group requirements of IR. This includes leading our award winning data science practice.

Working closely with the other Information and Intelligence leaders this role acts as a steward of IR's data science and analytics, , ensuring IR operates within its operational policies, and the legislative framework. You will be responsible for continually growing the professional development of IIS.

You will be recognised as an authority or a thought leader in data science and analytics, understanding the value proposition of this role within the broader system. You will have significant experience of data science and analytics strategy, governance or systems at an organisational level

This is a strategic role, with a key responsibility to build the practices, behaviours, culture and enabling capabilities that will enable IR to become an intelligence-led organisation.

As such your experience will include:

  • Technical stewardship and accountability for leading 'best practice' analytics and data science capability in a large and complex organisation.
  • Designing and delivering data science and analytics services to support organisational strategy in a large and complex organisation, and leading a shift to intelligence-led and agile working within a large and complex organisation.
  • Significant experience in data, analytics and relevant platforms, with the ability to apply advanced analytics, data modelling and data science.
